About Bursts

Bursts is a task manager built around a simple loop: pick the task that matters, start a focus burst, and race a short clock to a finish. Each task carries its own adjustable burst length, a race-start sound, a 10…1 finale, and a live countdown that follows you to the lock screen, Dynamic Island, and home-screen widget — so you can start the next burst without opening the app.

There is no account to create and no backend of ours to trust: Bursts syncs your tasks to any standard RFC 4791 CalDAV server — Apple, Fastmail, Nextcloud, or your own — using ordinary VTODO items other apps can read and write. Everything works offline first, then reconciles the moment you're back online, so an edit on the train reaches every device without waiting on the network.

Organize with lists, tags, due dates, recurring tasks, subtasks, and goals that group the work beneath them. Save the views you return to, drop them on your home screen as widgets, and let a morning reminder surface the one task worth starting with.
